Kiehl's Men Review

Hey guys sorry I haven't been updating in quite a long time but I am finally back with a post that I kinda promised to do. As the title of this post say today's post will be about the detailed version of the Kiehl's product that I use on a daily basis (see the video here). So let's just get started!

1. Kiehl's Blue Herbal Gel Cleanser (4.0/5)

As the name state it is clearly a cleanser, this cleanser is focused more on oily skin. This cleanser is also focused for treating blemishes like pimples/acne.

This cleanser is in the form of a liquid gel but I think it is a bit too liquidy for a face wash. This cleanser produces quite little bubble so sometimes a one or two drops is not enough for the whole face. Despite the liquidy form the cleanser does clean really good and it leaves my face not too dry and not too oily.

What I like about this cleanser is that actually reduces pimple/acne. This cleanser also gives a fresh minty feel on my face, but this cleanser does contain salicylic acid which is used to treat pimple/acne. Be aware that salicylic acid may cause dryness to skin so do not overuse the cleanser. So, I think it's better to change to a normal cleanser afterwards.

This product is actually not focused for men, but I think Kiehl's product are basically unisex product. I bought this cleanser for Rp 300,000 ($21.00), personally I think this cleanser is just the right price for a pimple/acne focused cleanser.

2. Kiehl's Blue Astringent Herbal Lotion (4.5/5)

This is actually a toner that is also focused for pimple/acne prone and oily face. This is one of the best toners I have tried so far. This toner is in the same set as the Kiehl's Blue Herbal Gel Cleanser.

Of course this toner is in the form of a liquid and it is in the color of blue. What I love about this toner is that it really cleans of the remaining dirt after washing your face. Besides that it also gives a fresh and minty clean feel on my face (I usually use this on my face and neck with a cotton pad).

This toner also helps reduce my pimple/acne so overall it is a very good product! Besides this toner is able to make my skin perfect (not too dry and not too oily).

This toner costs around Rp 250,000 ($18.00-$27.00) I actually forgot the exact price for this because I bought this in Hong Kong and my mom paid for it so I didn't know the exact cost. But I think this is really worthed because it lasts really long. Same as the product before it is a unisex product.

3. Kiehl's Blue Herbal Spot Treatment (4.0/5.0)

This product completes the first two products that I use. It obviously belongs to the same set as the cleanser and the toner. I personally like using complete sets to maximize the results.

This spot treatment is in the form of a gel that is really effective on treating pimple/acne. This gel is very effective, as I apply this on my pimple/acne (with a cotton-bud) it immediately reacts with the pimple/acne. It feels like the gel is killing the pimple/acne so at first it kinda itches. After a two to four days of use the pimple/acne will automatically be gone (depends on the pimple/acne).

I would rate this product a 5.0 but this gel kinda leave a dark/dark red mark on my face, but ofcourse the mark will disappear after a few weeks. Overall I would recommend this product but do not use it too often and store this product in the refrigerator. This product main composition is salicylic acid.

The price of this product was around Rp 250,000 ($18.00) I also bought this in Hong Kong so I forgot the exact price of this product.

4. Kiehl's Facial Fuel No-Shine Moisturizing Lip Balm (5.0/5.0)

This is so far the best Kiehl's product that I have used and also the best lip balm for men that I have tried. This lip balm is focused for men so that it is not scented and not that glossy.

What I really like about this product is that this product actually moisturizes and leaves a great feel on my lip. It also tasted kinda sweet and minty (trust me you will taste it as soon as you try it). This is the definition of a perfect lip balm for men! It is handy and long-lasting, it also gives a fresh and confident feel on my lip.

This product is very affordable, Rp 150,000 ($9.00). The price factor and the really food moisturizing feel gave this product a 5.0! I highly recommend this product for all of you guys out there.

5. Kiehl's Tea Tree Oil Shampoo (3.5/5.0)

This shampoo I think is very average for an oil control shampoo. This shampoo is of course in the form of a liquidy gel.

This shampoo is good cause it really absorbs all of the oil on my scalp and hair so it cleanses really well. Despite the comfort fact this shampoo also causes hair-fall a bit when I am washing my hair and this product is also quite a waste cause it needs quite a lot to clean evenly.

This product is quite expensive for a shampoo but I like it because it absorbs all of oil. It is Rp 250,000 ($18.00), I would recommend this if your hair is really oily.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

So basically that was all for my Kiehl's product review I hope you guys found this useful and interesting, leave a comment also on what you think about the products above. I am also sorry if this review is not that pleasing and also very sorry for my bad grammar (I am still learning).

Thanks so much for reading my post today! Have a great day!

De Luca Jakarta - Plaza Senayan

Hey guys! A week ago I went to this really cool place called De Luca, I know probably some of you guys might heard of it already but here is my review of De Luca! The restaurant is located on the ground floor of Plaza Senayan, it is actually right in front of Monolog.

De Luca is a very chill restaurant that has a rustic and bar feel with a touch of modern warmness by the warm yellow lighting. The place is furnished with basically wooden furniture which give the rustic feel to the restaurant. Wine bottles are also displayed all-throughout the restaurant which give the bar feel to the restaurant.

Besides that they also display black and white pictures which give the modern art look and feel. I personally think the place is really cozy and warm (literally cause the air-con was not that cold or probably because it was crowded).

Moving on to the food and beverages that they serve, De Luca is actually an Italian restaurant that I think serves basic Italian food. They also offer a wide variety of cocktails and mocktails (ofcourse they serve normal beverages too like tea, coffee and water).

I ordered the Green Smith mocktail. It was refreshing but as usual it has too many ice (that's my opinion). It has a minty feel and an apple taste also a lime/lemon taste. It was a good combination but it is kinda sour, so if you guys don't like sour things I do not recommend this drink.

For the appetizer I ordered the Ceaser Salad which I think was really good. My favorite part would be the boiled egg on the middle. But as you start to finish the salad the salad kinda tasted more like red onion, I think it's because they used a lot of red onion (which makes it kinda spicy in an onion way). Overall the salad was good and fresh!

Another thing that I ordered was the pizza. I forgot what the pizza was because my dad and his friends ordered it.I was actually planning on eating only the salad because I was on a diet (yeah that's what everyone say in the holiday, but eventually I gained weight. Yes, I gained weight). The pizza was actually different from the usual pizza because it uses cream sauce instead of tomato sauce. It was actually like a vegetarian pizza (but it has cheese) since there's only mushrooms and lettuce or whatever those leaves are. Surprisingly it tasted good.

That was actually all that I ordered in De Luca (I did order mineral water but yeah all water tastes the same). Overall De Luca was a great restaurant/cafe, they have good food and good atmosphere. I recommend this place if you guys are hungry for Italian food and for hangouts but I do not recommend this place if you guys wants to make a business meeting because it is way too noisy for that (funny story that was what my dad did and the meeting kinda fail).

Oh! Almost forgot the cost to eat here is pretty average, ranging from Rp 300,000 up to Rp 600,000 for two people (it depends on what you guys order). I did not remember my bill total but I do remember my mocktail was about Rp 50,000. So yeah that is it for my review of De Luca! Thank you guys for reading until this point and hope you have a great day!
