BIRTHDAY IDEAS: EDOGIN - HOTEL MULIA

Food is always the right answer for everything, so it is always best to celebrate special days (birthdays, anniversaries or any other) with special food also. You can never go wrong with spending your money on food, price equals quality, right? Anyway, if you guys are having any special day coming or probably you're visiting Jakarta make sure to check out Edogin at Hotel Mulia. Especially if you love Japanese food!

Edogin

Edogin is a Japanese restaurant that is located on the lower ground level of the Hotel Mulia. Hotel Mulia is located on Jl. Asia Afrika Senayan Jakarta, Mulia is very famous for their five-star service and food. All of the restaurants in Mulia are top restaurants which serves the best quality of food and the most delightful taste.

Edogin is one of those restaurants that is located inside Mulia, this makes Edogin one of the best Japanese restaurants in Jakarta, Indonesia. Edogin is considered a five-star restaurant so be prepared to spend a bit more than you usually do if you are planning to visit and make sure you are not wearing sandals on the day of the visit (Mulia Jakarta's policy).

Edogin is actually more to a Teppanyaki restaurant than a normal Japanese Ala-carte restaurant. Aside from serving Teppanyaki, Edogin also serves a variety of Japanese Buffet. Edogin is an All You Can Eat restaurant so you will automatically be satisfied and go home with a really full and happy stomach.

My visit to Edogin was actually to celebrate my Mom's birthday last week (literally last week, 12th of October). I actually had eaten in Edogin when I was small, but I of course I did not remember it. Surprisingly the place feels and looks a bit familiar for me, as if I have been there before.

Edogin has a really warm and luxurious/fancy feel in the restaurant and plus the very nice Japanese Oriental theme makes it way better for the best dining experience. I personally love Japanese themed interiors. Edogin also speaks a bit of Modern Japanese interiors which is really interesting and beautiful.

Now moving on to the food, the food was absolutely amazing, starting from the assorted FRESH sushi and sashimi, all the deep fried tempura and even the desserts (which includes, mousse, pudding, jelly, fruits and even pastry). The main attraction was of course the Teppanyaki, Edogin has a lot to offer to you guys, starting from tenderloin, ribs, chicken, seafood, salmon, tuna, dory, vegetables and even rice (the rice will be cooked in a Teppanyaki style, kind of like a fried rice). I personally think the Teppanyaki is way better than the assorted Japanese buffet.

Assorted Sashimi

Assorted Sushi Rolls

Assorted Nigiri Sushi

Assorted Deep-fried Tempura

Assorted Mousse (Desserts)

Squid, Onion and Short Ribs Teppanyaki

My culinary adventure did not stop there, my mom requested a Banana Flambe which they will make in front of us! I was really excited in seeing the process and of course tasting it later on. The process was really fun and thrilling. The taste was so delightful! I literally became the happiest boy on earth after getting the FIRST bite, not the whole thing! It was really delicious and you can really taste the banana, the ice cream and the brandy, it was literally the best for me.

Another thing that was really fun was the Lychee Ice Tea that my mom ordered. The Lychee Ice Tea was really good and sweet (I love sweet food). What makes the Lychee Ice Tea so special was they blended the Lychee and served it in this very big glass!

Lychee Ice Tea

Overall I would definitely rate Edogin a five out of five (5/5) and the price for this really good food, service and ambiance is really worth the price. The cost for the four of us (me, my mom, my sister and my dad) was around 2 million rupiah. Another thing that need acknowledgement is their service, super nice waiters and chefs, like they are literally very friendly and full of smiles! This wraps up today's post and sorry for the really long post but I hope you guys find this useful and comment down below about Edogin. Thank you guys for reading this post! Have a great day!

COLOR CODE: BLACK [BLACK ESSENTIALS]

Hey guys! I am back once again and today as the title of today's post state, I am gonna post a Black colored essential for basically every season. I will be posting some more Color Code in the future hopefully. I have always wanted to do this kind of post because I really like having same colored objects around me. Anyways today's post will be about the color black and the things that will be covered today are basically fashion pieces. Let's just get started!

COLOR CODE: BLACK

Black is a must for everyone in the world whether you are interested in fashion or not. Black fashion pieces are compulsory because they basically go with everything and you can NEVER GO WRONG WITH BLACK. I honestly love dressing up using only the color black even if some of my friends say that I look dull or something but you just gotta be confident with your own style. Anyway since I am a big fan of the color black, I am gonna share some of my favorite Black Essentials.

1. Black Louis Vuitton Sandals

These are the best pair of sandals anyone (regardless of gender) can get. Surely not the most comfortable one on earth but the comfort level is above average. The really big plus is that the design of this sandal is really trendy and timeless. Honestly you can wear this to the beach (like I did) or you can wear it to the mall (like I did) or even for big fashion events (like I did also). I am not quite sure about the price since I got it from my dad as a gift, but in general Louis Vuitton footwear are above $300 so that explains enough. The fact that it is Louis Vuitton makes it way better (high satisfaction and feel good factor LOL).

2. Black Emporio Armani Leather Strap Watch

This watch is literally an essential for everyone, not my top Black Essential but surely the most functional and fashionable one. This watch goes well with everything! (except for swimming or exercising, the watch is water proof but the strap is leather so extra care is needed) The fact that it has leather strap made it way more comfortable and cool for the wrist. I personally use this watch for semi-formal to formal attire but this watch goes well with casual outfit also. The crocodile embossed leather gave an exclusivity and luxurious feel towards the user of the watch. Surprisingly this watch is very affordable for something from Emporio Armani, it costed me HK$3,000 (about $300). That is why this watch is an all time favorite of mine.

3. Little Black Book from Black Book Jakarta

Looks like Moleskin has a competitor in their field of business. This Little Black Book (LBB) is actually not so little and it is indeed very convenient. The most attractive part of this book is the sentence/phrase that they put on the cover, it is simply beautiful. This book has elegant, smart and sophistication written all over it, that is why I really love it. The fact that the paper in this book are blank paper, you can write and sketch in the book without hesitation. I am currently using this LBB as a journal for school and important activities. This is quite pricey for a normal book but if you guys are interested in collecting books, this LBB will surely please you. The price is about $10 for the normal one (picture above). The biggest plus for LBB is that it is a local product! Black Book Jakarta

4. Carven Black Document Holder

I am pretty sure you guys have seen this item on my previous posts (the one about Hong Kong). This document holder is just really cute and stylish, the fact that it is black and not leather makes it super easy to take care of. Carven is one of my favorite brand in the world of fashion, they never fail to impress me. This document holder was actually a collaboration between Carven and Delfonics. The most attractive part of this document holder is that the shape is very consistent and the material is very durable. The price is surprisingly very very very cheap, I got this for HK$500 (about $50!). This item surely is an essential since it is very affordable and durable it also matches with a lot of outfit.

Well unfortunately that is it guys for today's post I hope you guys like and found this useful or interesting. Anyway I will try to continue posting Color Code and I will also try to improve in my writing and content organizing. Thank you guys so much for reading until this point! Hope you guys have an awesome day and stay stylish!

All Time Essentials

Hey guys and welcome October! The time is moving so fast and now we are already on the last quarter of the year 2014. October is the month of fun and hard work in my opinion, because by next week I am going to have some term tests (yay!) and the next next week I am going to have a term break (finally!).

Today's post is about my All Time Essentials, all time in this post means that it functions for all season (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter). Essentials are the things that I needed the most of course, so this post is about the things that I need all the time. The things that is going to be mentioned is basically stuff for my face.

All Time Essentials

1. Eau Thermal Avene - Thermal Spring Water (5.0/5.0)

This is a must in my backpack! I always have this either in my bag or my car, especially when I am travelling I cannot travel without this. The one that I have is the big 300 ml one, they also have the smaller ones, but I prefer the 300 ml one because it is more convenient if you like to carry big bags or like travelling. This Spring Water is really good and it feels really different from the other brands, Eau Thermal Avene feels more fresh and hydrating. This costs around $18.00, but I bought in the Dermatologist so the price was more than that, so I recommend you guys to buy this in a drugstore.

2. Kiehl's Facial Fuel Non-Shine Lip Balm (4.5/5.0)

This is literally the best Kiehl's product ever created! It moisturizes perfectly and it has a really sweet after taste (WARNING! DO NOT EAT IT THOUGH!). Since it is a lip balm of course it is very convenient to carry and store, I usually just put it in my pocket or probably the small compartment a bag. My lips are very dry from time to time so I always need this in my bag or pocket at least. This is very affordable, it costs around $10.00. I really recommend you guys to always have this in your bag.

3. Rohto Eye Drops (4.0/5.0)

I have the weirdest eyes ever, it is very often for my eyes to feel hot or tired, so basically I use this to cool my eyes and make it feel better. I know eye drops are often scary for some people and I heard it is not that good to use eye drops to often, so only use it when you actually need it. Confession! I am not addicted to eye drops LOL, but I just use to comfort my tired, red and uncomfortable eyes. This is of course really cheap, this costs around $2.50, so I am sure that this is very easy to be purchased and you guys can easily find this in normal drugstores.

4. Clean & Clear Oil Control Film (4.0/5.0)

My face is very inconsistent it tends to be very oily but it can also be dry from time to time. I always need this oil control film in my bag or pocket since the oil on my face can be really disgusting. I honestly don't like oily skin, it gives me acne and it is very ew to touch my face. So in conclusion I always need this, since this is a life saver and the one from Clean & Clear absorbs oil really well. This costs around $2.50 so it is really affordable and easy to get since it is available in normal drugstores.

That is it guys for today's post I hope you guys find the information given useful and hopefully my essentials are actually useful for you guys as well. Thank you guys for reading this post and have a great day! Have a great month ahead also!

GOODBYE HONG KONG

Hey guys I am so sorry for the delay of this Hong Kong Throwback Blog and today's post will be the last post regarding to my Hong Kong Blog! Since today is the last post of my Hong Kong Blog the things that I am going to share are just very basic stuff and basically the pictures that I have captured in Hong Kong. As I have said before I will not be stating anything specific (like airplane cost, MRT cost, hotels and even restaurants) since I did not remember all of the specific things. Let's just get started with my last day in Hong Kong!

Hong Kong

Day 3 of my trip to ended in the iconic Hong Kong Disnyeland which was of course fun and magical (because of the fireworks there). Our last day started off very basic and quite later than usual, because we were very tired last night. Honestly we had no plan at all on what to do that day, we just wanted to relax and walk around Hong Kong.

After a few chat we decided to go to Harbour City and spend our last day for shopping since Hong Kong is the best place to shop in Asia (in my opinion). All we did this day was basically shop for some local brand and some international brands also. Truth speaking the stuff in Hong Kong is quite limited so sometimes there is not much use on having so much brands there but not having the stuff you want (get it? it feels weird somehow).

Well honestly there isn't much to explain in the last day, aside from shopping. The stores that was really good in my perspective is the I.T Store, Agnes B., Calvin Klein Jeans, Louis Vuitton and Carven. What is I.T Store? I.T Store is like a department store that sells streetstyle fashion pieces, some of my favorite brands are 5cm, Musium DIV, Style Nanda, Comme Des Garcon and Jeremy Scott.

We kinda over shopped and left Harbour City in a rush. As soon as we arrive at our hotel we immediately pack our stuff and put all of the things we just bought. After that each of us had a very quick wash and we went straight to the hotel's lobby to check out. Our hotel is pretty strategic, it is called Holiday Inn Golden Mille.

(#ootd #airportfashion | Zara T-Shirt and Sweatpants, 5cm Shoes, Louis Vuitton Bag)

We immediately got a cab in front of our hotel and went straight to the airport. It took us about 45 minutes (if I am not wrong) to get to the airport and the fee was about HK$ 200 (the only fee that I remember hahaha). The airport is so nice, it's very clean and modern. I didn't take pictures of the place but personally I think the airport itself is a very good place to shop. The airport is like a mall, it has stores like Chanel, Valentino, Hermes, Gucci, Prada and so much more, not to mention the duty free stores that sells perfume, chocolates and liquors.

This officially end my very short and exciting trip to Hong Kong. Overall I was very happy all throughout and in my opinion Hong Kong is a very fun place to be explored. Hong Kong is also very easy to be tackled since the map and the MRT systems are very clear and detailed. The only one problem is the language problem that makes it very hard for me to communicate with one and another. I would definitely go back to Hong Kong A.S.A.P!

Thank you so much guys for tuning in to my blog even though it is still very basic and rough (I think). I am so sorry if this Hong Kong Throwback Blog is not that interesting or anything but I do hope that you guys find my other post interesting and fun. Anyway thank you guys so much for reading until this point and have an awesome day!
