Sunday Brunch Outfit | featuring Natasha

Hello guys! It's been awhile since I have posted anything actually and that was actually caused by my very tight schedule. I just returned from Medan last night and I have theater/drama practice almost everyday (for more info click here).

A few weeks ago actually me and my sister (Natasha/Acha) went to eat brunch at Plaza Senayan, we wanted to eat Sushi so we ate at Genki Sushi (a personal favorite of mine). We though it would be fun to take the opportunity of making an OOTD picture, since I haven't been updating my blog with any fashion related posts lately.

As a result we took pictures in Plaza Senayan's Park or Taman Senayan (in bahasa or me and my friend's everyday language). So let's just get started!

For Sunday Brunches I prefer to wear something casual and tidy. I decided to wear a khaki colored shirt from Cotton On and a white T-Shirt under it from Topman. I paired it with a black trousers from Zara and a brown-green belt from Gucci to add a bit of color. The final touch was my black pair of Tod's Shoes and Emporio Armani watch.

So does it go for my sister, casual and tidy. She wore a black turtleneck sweater from Zara and an oversized trousers from Animale (a local brand from Bali). She paired it with a brown pairs of heels from Clarks.

A few close up shots for details. Specifically for the watch and the belt. I was actually holding an iPad mini, which kinda match with the outfit.

Same goes for my sister who was holding the iPad Mini which matches her outfit theme. The stud details on the turtleneck is actually a choker which she got from an online store (I think). The choker was added to add a fun and playful atmosphere which also gave life to the look,

Some fun shots of the whole outfit that we wore. Sunday is a day meant for laughter, happiness and peace. Always try to find the bright side of every situation and smile!

Beach at Grand Nikko Nusa Dua

Hey guys, so yeah I am finally able to finish (wrap up) my Bali December 2014 Blog. Yes I know this is very late, but yeah I was quite busy with school lately and I was trying to focus on Youtube also so make sure to check it out!

Anyway today's post is about one of my favorite part of Bali, the beach. Bali has many beaches and I must say the beach that I visited last December was one of the best (in my opinion). The beach that I went to was the one in the Nusa Dua areas, they have white sandy beaches but a bit full of small bits of coral in some areas and seaweed, they also do have some uneven surfaces. Some say the best beach is Kuta beach, I must say Kuta beach is indeed amazing but they overly populated by tourists and sellers. I personally like private beaches better, that is why I prefer Nusa Dua beaches.

Basically I visited the beach after the sun sets (around 6pm) and the sky was clear and beautiful which was just perfect for me. The sound of the sea was beautiful in a mysterious and natural way. I personally love beaches even though you basically just laze around at beaches.

The beach that I visited was actually located in Grand Nikko Nusa Dua Hotel, so this was indeed a private beach. The fact that the hotel was built on a cliff, the beach has a very natural presence and I feel as if I was isolated in a nature sanctuary, that was calming and beautiful at the same time. I personally love private beaches for so many reasons, such as, privacy, cleanliness, peace and calm. I do agree private beaches costs a lot, especially the ones from five star hotels (such as Grand Nikko).

(#ootd | Muji Cardigan, H&M Tank and Quicksliver Swim Shorts)

As I have said I feel like I am more of a beach person and I feel that I can find calm and peace in beaches. Hearing the sound of the ocean is just calming and inspirational. Another thing that I love about beaches is the amazing tropical lighting that is always on point for pictures.

This actually wraps up my Bali December 2014 Blog and I do thank my sister (refer to Instagram) for the awesome pictures and I would of course thank my parents for making this trip possible in every way. Thank you to all of you guys for tuning to my Bali December 2014 Blog and hope you stay tune to my blog for more upcoming blog posts, I do have a lot planned already, so make sure to stay tune!

WEEKEND GETAWAY: BALI

Hey guys! So sorry I haven't been updating in a very long time. I'm just gonna be honest to you guys that lately I have been very busy with school and just finished my exams two weeks ago (Yay!) aside from that I have also been doing fundraising for a school event (which I will explain in detail later on) and of course hanging out with friends (LOL). I am actually still into blogging its just that I suck at managing my time but all the best to me and you guys.

Anyways today's post will be about my weekend in Bali (two weeks ago). It was the week of my exams and when the exams ended me and my mom went to Bali for one bug reason (not for holiday purposes). We departed from Jakarta on Friday (5th of December) and returned from Bali on Sunday (7th of December), because I have school on Monday (yay school!).

(Airplane Food!)

Okay! So we departed by using Air Asia because it is highly affordable and reasonable. You guys can also order your own on flight meal through their website. I am not sponsored by Air Asia but I just think it is the smartest way to travel around Asia and the meal options are quite a lot and the taste will also be satisfying. So the flight took me about one and half hour from Jakarta to Bali and honestly I couldn't sleep on board the plane (I honestly don't know why).

So our first stop in Bali (aside the airport) is actually the Siloam Hospital in Sunset Road not our hotel. We went to the hospital because me and my mom wanted to visit my dad who was hospitalized there. He actually works in Bali and that's why we went to Bali that weekend. When we arrived he's actually allowed to leave the hospital already and so we decided to just stay in the hotel together.

Ramada Resort Kuta's Swimming Pool

We stayed in Bintang Kuta Hotel in Jalan Kartika Plaza, I totally recommend staying in this hotel. It is a 4 star hotel and it is related to Ramada Resort, so the hospitality was top notch and the price were very affordable. This hotel is also located in the prime location of Bali, the Kuta Beach area and it is located literally in front of Ramada Resort Kuta, since they are related tenants of Bintang Kuta Hotel has a privilege access to Ramada Resort Kuta's facilities (5 star hotel facilities!). Ramada also happen to have their own private beach.

Ramada Resort Kuta's Private Beach

So that actually concludes the first day and we actually did nothing on the first day. For dinner we wanted to eat out but the rain was really bad so we decided to order room service. The next day was very chill and easy going, we had a morning walk around the hotel and left to walk on the main street until we reached Centro (which was surprisingly very close from the hotel). We had our breakfast at the hotel and on the afternoon we took a cab to go to Beachwalk Kuta.

Beachwalk Kuta's Garden View

Beachwalk is actually my favorite mall in Indonesia, it is very different and unique from any other malls here. I must say this is the highlight of today's post (because most of the pictures are actually taken here). We ate lunch at Bebek Tepi Sawah which is one of my favorite place to eat duck (way better than peking duck in my opinion).

The restaurant is actually located on the 3rd floor of the mall and it is indeed decorated with the most beautiful and traditional interiors. But I really recommend you guys to go to the original one in Ubud, Bali the view there is amazing and it just has different ambiance, but it is also very far from the Kuta area. I personally love the classic craved stone and the traditional Balinese umbrellas.

Freshly Made Dipping Sauce

They gave us three kinds of dipping sauce, all of them are spicy but they do have a different kind of spicy level. I personally didn't try the bottom left one (because I'm weird I guess), the top one was rather heavy and spicy, and the bottom right one is my favorite since it tasted really fresh and there is a mild spicy taste to it. But these dipping sauce is for preference and the good and bad of the taste actually depends on the person's taste.

The Classic Crispy Duck

The highlight of today's post! Bebek Tepi Sawah's signature dish, the Classic Crispy Duck. This is indeed the best duck ever and wherever you are in the world you must come and try this amazing dish (well that is in my opinion). The duck tasted very fresh and crispy with a very balanced taste. It is juicy and every crispy part tastes like heaven. The assorted vegetable was also a very good complementary to the dish since it gives a balance to the fatty duck oil.

After lunch we returned to our hotel and swam for a couple of hours. That night we went out for dinner to eat Thai Food, I didn't take any pictures since it was dark and the only camera I have in Bali that weekend was my phone (so all pictures are taken by my phone). I also forgot the name of the restaurant (lol stupid me).

The last day was very common, since nothing happened and I have to go back to Jakarta since I have school on Monday. I had to return alone, since my dad had another check up on Tuesday. So this trip is also my first experience of flying alone!

#airportfashion #ootd

Okay so that wraps up my weekend in Bali! So thank you guys for reading until this point because honestly this post is just about Bebek Tepi Sawah (LOL) but anyways it was a very meaningful trip for me because I went to Bali for a good reason and it is also my first time flying alone. Thank you guys once again and have great day! God Bless!

Thanks to Air Asia, Ramada Bintang Bali Resort, Bintang Kuta Hotel and Bebek Tepi Sawah.

H O N G K O N G

Hey guys! I am back with the first part of very early summer vacation blog (because I actually went to Hong Kong on May which was not summer yet). So anyway I already forgot the exact dates that I went to Hong Kong, so probably I am just gonna say day 1 and day 2 and so on (bear with me guys I am very weird and I am not good at memorizing things). Let's just get started!

HONG KONG

I arrived in Hong Kong in the afternoon (around 3pm) and then of course we (my mom, my sister and my mom's friend and I) quickly searched for a cab and immediately went to the hotel, because we were tired for no reason (also we wanted to put our things there). This is actually my third time in Hong Kong, my first time was when I was around 10 years old and my second time was when I was about 14 years old.

Anyway going around Hong Kong is pretty easy (it's basically like Singapore but bigger), the signs are pretty obvious and maps/GPS are often correct. So, I would say Hong Kong is an excellent place for you guys to travel solo (without any guide). Why Hong Kong? Honestly we wanted to shop. Yes, shop for clothes. LOL

We picked a hotel that was okay (not overly expensive but not a cheap hotel) but the location was amazing, since it is located right in front of a mall named K-11 and just 5 minutes away (by foot) from Harbour City Mall. Our hotel was called Holiday Inn Golden Mille.

(the street in front of the hotel)

So basically all we did in the afternoon was managing the hotel rooms and unpacking our things. Later on as it get quite late (around 5pm) we went out for a walk around the hotel area and found a Japanese Ramen shop/restaurant that was really good and refreshing (I forgot the name of the place and I didn't take any pictures also in the Ramen shop).

(Black Calvin Klein Polo Shirt, H&M Red Shorts and Red Bally Shoes)

That was what I was wearing for the first day. After we finished eating we went to K-11 (which was right in front of the hotel) to look around. The stores there was quite interesting, they have Watch Galleries (with brands like Burberry and Emporio Armani), Doctor Martens, Calvin Klein Jeans, Agnes B. and this really cool store (that has Lazy Oaf, Y-3, Comme des Garcons and etc). Of course there were some other stores but of course I did not remember all of them.

My sister and I got quite bored so we decided to split up with our mom. We took a walk and eventually we arrived at the Harbour City Mall (which was very big and very hard to miss). This was the mall that we were looking for! It is one of the biggest malls in Asia, with brands like Chanel, Hermes, Valentino, Moschino, Givenchy, etc until like Zara and Ted Baker. This mall was just perfect!

(Moschino Store in Hong Kong, Harbour City Mall, Level 1 (if I'm not wrong))

Finally I found a Carven store that has the Men's Collection (because the Carven in Indonesia is only for Women, sexist! LOL). I was so happy that night and felt kinda dissapointed because on the first night I already spent my money on something (LOL no regrets though). The Carven store was located inside the Harbour City Mall on the first level.

(That's me looking happier than I should have looked)

After that we kinda rushed our way back to the hotel because it was so freakin' late (around 9pm, that is very late for me LOL). So we went back to our hotel room and surprisingly my sister and I arrived on the same time as my mom and her friend.

After a good long rest, we were awaken by the morning sun and our call of nature. We had already planned on what we are going to do on the second day, which was going to the Avenue of the Stars! This was also surprisingly very close from our hotel, it took like a 15 minutes walk (because we're Indonesians so we walked very slow LOL).

(The view from the Avenue of the Stars)

Despite the really hot sun we were still able to survive the whole afternoon. Along the the Avenue of the Stars there were stalls and seats but still it was very hot because there were no proper shades and Hong Kong's summer is known to be very hot. One of the stalls there was an official Disneyland stall that sells Disney merchandise and tickets to Hong Kong Disneyland! Of course you have to go to Disneyland if you guys are visiting Hong Kong (it's like a tradition).

(Topman T-shirt, H&M Red Shorts, Carven Pouch, Gucci Hat/Cap(?) and CK Jeans Aviators)

That was what I was wearing on that very hot day, I regret wearing black but oh well. Featuring my new Carven Pouch/Document Holder that I bought the day before! Avenue of the Stars was definitely a must visit place in Hong Kong since it is very beautiful and it is also a great place to take pictures!

So guys that is basically it for today's post! I hope you guys like it and found some of the information useful. I will continue Day 2 and the rest by next week hopefully (could be less or more). Thank you guys so much for reading until this point and hope you guys have a wonderful day!

Summer Lookbook - Bali (Look 3)

Hey guys! Today I am gonna finish off yesterday's post which is the detailed post of my Summer Lookbook. To finish the post I am gonna explain in detail my third and last look for this Summer! Let's get started!

The last look for the summer also features simple basic pieces but the key is once again the color or the pattern. Summer is all about bright colors so I went with a bright color shorts from H&M. It is in a salmon/peachy color that has a really nice and summery feel.

Another thing about summer would be trying to keep it simple and bright! So I decided to go with a white line shirt from Cotton On that is once again really nice and very summer. I personally like basic shirts because it's easier to find the perfect match for it.

I also added a brown belt from Superdry to make this look bolder and more sophisticated. This look is kinda like the semi-formal attire for the summer, you guys can just substitute the sandals with shoes or sneakers that has a similar color tone.

Since my purpose for this look was casual and relaxed I decided to go with my Louis Vuitton sandals once again. It might not have any color connection with the outfit right now, but sadly at that moment I didn't have any colored sandals or footwear with me.

I personally like this look because it's actually really simple and basic but it's also stylish and sophisticated, so this look is one of my favorite look for this summer! This look also showcases a flexibility in the color combination because white shirt can be mixed and match with basically every colored shorts or even patterned shorts.

So that's it for the detailed version of my Men's Summer Lookbook 2014! Hope you guys enjoy my posts and keep liking my blog and youtube channel! Thank you for reading this post and hope you guys have a great day and summer!

Men's Spring Lookbook 2014

Men's Spring Lookbook 2014

Today I am going to review the outfits from last week that was posted in my youtube channel. Let's just get started!

1. Outfit 1 - Casual

This outfit has a really Springy feel and it is very casual and relaxed also. In this Spring 2014, the color blue is like the 'it' color for Spring 2014. So I decided to go with a simple white shorts, a nice-breathable white shirt (with small patterns), a blue sweater and blue breathable shoes that I showed to you guys in my previous post.

As usual I really recommend the things that I use, so let's get into some details!
- White Shirt = New Look Man (I forgot the price but it's somewhere around $20.00 or less)
- White Shorts = Giordano (Around $45.00)
- Blue Sweater = Galeries Lafayette (Around $70.00)
- Blue Sneakers = Armani Jeans (Around $400.00)

2. Outfit 2 - Casual

Another thing that is in this Spring besides the color blue is floral pattern. Floral pattern is always perfect for Spring season especially this Spring 2014. Floral pattern gives a fresh and bright look to or outfit. I styled my Floral print T-shirt with black colored sweatpants and to top off the sporty and casual look I used my bright blue running shoes. Since the spring tends to be bright so I added wayfarers sunglasses as an essential to the look. Sporty shoes are also starting to be a must haves since they are also starting to be very bright and stylish. One of the best sporty shoes in the world (in terms of appearance) is Valentino's Camouflage Print Sneakers, it's literary beautiful but sadly it is a bit pricey and I am still dreaming of having one (Valentino Shoes!!!).

Details!
- Floral T-shirt = Zara Man (Around $20.00)
- Black Sweatpants = Zara Man (Around $60.00)
- Running Shoes = Nike (Around $100.00)
- Wayfarers = Rayban (Around $200.00)

3. Outfit 3 - Formal

For the last look I decided to go with something formal but as usual still bright and has a nice fresh-spring feel. As I told you guys before, the color Blue is the 'it' color so I added a touch of Blue to my outfit. This Bright blue blazer is perfect to be mixed with the color white or skin-colored beige. To make this formal look I used a white polo-shirt and white chinos or just fabric pants. I added  touch of black with the black belt and the black dress shoes to give a formal touch to the outfit.

Details!
- Blue Blazer = Zara Man (Around $120.00)
- White Polo Shirt = Blanc Du Nil (Around $45.00)
- White Chinos = H&M (Around $40.00)
- Black Dress Shoes = Bally (Around $500.00)
- Black Belt = Prada (Around $450.00)

Men's Spring Lookbook 2014

Men's Spring Lookbook 2014

Hey guys! I know that it is really late and it's almost summer now already but a promise is a promise, so I decided to go with three looks for this Spring 2014.

This Spring 2014 the color BLUE and FLORAL pattern is back and taking over once again. The blue that has taken over some Spring/Summer 2014 Runways are  like soft-dark blue (I don't know the exact name hehe), so in this Spring 2014 Lookbook you guys will see a lot of Blues and Floral pattern. I will give three looks for this Spring Lookbook 2014. Featuring two casual looks and one formal look.

Hope you guys enjoy my video despite the really late post and crappy editing skills. Hope this video helps inspire you guys to dress for this Spring 2014.

Details will be posted soon! So stick around! Thanks!

Must Have Shoes for Spring/Summer 2014 Men

Spring/Summer 2014 Men

Spring and Summer are here once again! Of course that means bright color accessories with simple details because we don't wanna go overboard with what we are wearing. So the biggest one of the most recognizable accessories are of course everyone's best friend the shoes.

In today's post I will give some tips that I usually use for Spring and Summer Lookbooks or just daily casual outfits. I am gonna share to you what shoes you're not suppose to wear and whats you're suppose to.

1. Bright Color!

As we all now Spring and Summer is all about bright colors, but why don't we let the shoes talk this time!
A simple bright red shoe like this can speak for the outfit. I usually wear an all white outfit or all black or probably all navy blue color outfit. With shoes like this the outfit we wear can be complete and suited for spring or summer. What makes it even better is that this has rubber outer soles which makes it water proof and perfect for rainy spring season.

You guys can get shoes like this from George's Shoes or Tod's, those are the two brands that I hardly recommend you guys. George's Shoes is cheaper than Tod's so it is a good choice.

George's Shoes: http://www.georges-shoes.com/
Tod's: http://store.tods.com/Tods/WW/categories/Man/Spring-Summer/Shoes/Gommino-Driving-Shoes/c/217-TodsW

2. Breathable Sneakers/Lace-ups!

Sneakers or Lace-ups are just perfect for every occasion, but the one perfect for Spring and Summer 2014 is the casual one and it will be even better if it has white rubber outer soles so that it will give a more fresh look and feel.
This perforated lace-ups from Armani Jeans its just perfect for the Spring and Summer 2014, because blue is one of the 'it' color for this S/S 2014. It also has white outer soles which makes it better. Shoes like this are just perfect to be paired with jeans or shorts, which is once again perfect for Spring and Summer.

You guys can get shoes like this from Armani Jeans or Kenneth Cole, once again those are the two brands the I highly recommend. Kenneth Cole is cheaper than Armani Jeans and it has the same quality and feel.

Armani Jeans: http://www.armani.com/us/armanijeans/lace-up-shoe_cod44610342th.html
Kenneth Cole: http://www.kennethcole.com/product/index.jsp?productId=30602396 or http://www.kennethcole.com/product/index.jsp?productId=20913886

3. Black Simple Moccasins

Black is a must for me, no matter the season black is always in season for me. It goes with everything and the pair of shoes that I recommend to you guys are just perfect for formal events at the beach or outdoor events.
It's just a simple moccasins/loafers that has a platform which makes it look formal and appropriate. Spring and summer has a basic concept of simple and stylish, so I recommend shoes like this to complete every formal S/S 2014. The great thing is that it is once again it has rubber outer soles so it is more durable and perfect for outdoor activities.

You guys can get shoes like this from Bally or Minelli. Both has rubber outer soles so both are perfect. Minelli is cheaper than Bally and it has a similar quality. Once again I highly recommend those two brands.

Bally: http://www.bally.com/item/store/BALLY/tskay/C4CD0307/rr/1/cod10/44605968GL/areaid//sts/
Minelli: http://www.minelli.fr/homme/chaussures-homme-printemps-ete/mocassin-bateaux/bateau-diviero#article=36849
